We have a wide variety of
high quality yet affordable 420 stainless steel, one-handed
opening, folding knives with belt clips. Stainless steel is
the best type of quality suitable for blades which makes these of
superb quality! 420 grade is least likely to wear and retains
it's hardness and sharpness compared to the other alloys. The
high carbon content and heat treatment makes these superior
characteristics. After heat treatment, their very high carbon
content is capable of attaining the highest strength, RC60
hardness and exceptional wear resistance of all the stainless
alloys. The chrome content provides excellent corrosion and stain
resistance. This does make it a little more expensive than those
made of cheap metals, you do get what you pay for.
A
folding knife has a blade that one can move between open
and closed with one hand. A blade is connected by a fixed pivot
pin to a casing which has two handles or cover pieces which
provide a casing with a space for receiving the blade in the
closed position. A substantially V-shaped slot extends through
one of the cover pieces in close proximity and partially
surrounding relation to the pivot pin. Folding knives make a
great gift. It is often hard to find gifts for men, and most will
love a folding knife. You'd be surprised how many men collect
them not just for personal use, but but because of the unique
qualities and types available. Be sure to also check out our big
selection of
butterfly knives as well! |

| Pen
knives are actual pens that could save your life. They
look like an ordinary pen, but feature a 2.13" blade
that is revealed by pulling the pen apart. |

| History:
Folding knives
have been around for a VERY long time! We are talking
since the 1600's. Some were seen in Roman history. Not
all folding knives are known as Western folding knives.
Western folding knives usually have brown handles and
blades with only one sharp side that are as long as five
inches when folded out. A Western folding knife's blade
will lock into place. They look like oversized pocket
knives. Design:
A One Handed
Opening Folding Knife is convenient because it fits into
your pocket, therefore you won't have a knife sheath to
hang off your belt which is a nice feature. Folding
knives have a lock back spring which has been in use for
over a century. It makes the knife fold so you can put
it in your pocket. It also uses it like a straight knife
when it's open. You can rest assured that your folding knife will never
open by itself in your pocket. Lock back springs like
those on folding knives operate vertically, and snap
into a cutout in the tang of the blade. When you press
the spring on the back of the knife handle, you can
release the lock on your folding knife. It's secure so,
a folding knife's lock back spring normally requires two
hands to operate.
Caring for your Folding Knife:
One Handed Opening Folding Knives, just like any knife,
need to be taken care of. The blade of your folding
knife should always have a thin layer of oil on it to
repel water and humidity. The blade of your folding
knife, needs a lot more care than the outside. The blade
and spring should be regularly oiled and wiped clean.
Depending on the material the handle of your folding
knife is made of, you may want to polish or just clean
it. If you use your folding knife for hunting, you
should clean it after every use. If you sharpen your
folder, you should do so every time it is cleaned. Keep
it away from moisture when you're not using it. |
