Just When You Least Expect It

After having a very long week, I was able to put the flying ant/termite damage to my home and a/c repair bills from this week in the back of my head over the weekend and hang out by the pool with some friends.

A close friend of mine was telling me that one of her co-workers had an altercation with another co-worker. She had pulled into the parking lot at her work and was sitting in her car for a moment thumbing through her purse when all of a sudden, a man that works in her building opened up her door and said some things I can’t repeat here! He basically tried to black mail her into performing a sexual favor!

Imagine being in her shoes. She could have very well been assaulted right there in her own car. She didn’t have a thing on her or in her car that she could have used to defend herself. She now realizes she should be carrying something, and wanted a 775K Stun Master Stun Gun to keep in her purse at all times, a key chain pepper spray for her key ring, and a lipstick pepper spray to keep on her desk. This was a very wise choice given that nobody would ever surmise what it truly was. It took her boss a few days before they let this man go. They found out that she wasn’t the only female there that was being harassed. Unfortunately, things like this happen all the time, we just don’t always hear about them.

They just convicted a man of kidnapping and raping his ex-girlfriend and mother of his two kids. He had held her and another family member at gunpoint, drugged them, and raped her for 16 hours. Luckily he was caught and will now spend the rest of his life in prison. None of these people I’m telling you about today had expected something like this to happen to them when they woke up that morning. Nobody ever does. If you don’t have some type of personal protection device on or near you at all times, make sure you take a few minutes out of your day to do so. Also make sure that your loved ones are protected as well. The few dollars you spend on a personal protection product to protect yourself or the lives of those you love which are priceless will be well spent should something ever happen.
